ok, quick run down of my situation.. .
1. i am not religious.
my now-fiance was raised jw but left the religion about 10 years ago.. 2. we started dating last march, i got pregnant within two weeks.
Welcome June Bug...I can't offer you any useful advise but I would say that he obvously had strong reasons for leaving in the first place...maybe he needs to be reminded what they were. Time has a way of making things seem better, there is a lot of info on here to support his doubts, try the search engine on UN involvement etc that might jog the memory. Good luck.

to the making of many books is worrisome as the bible says yet the last time we received a ypa book it was 2008 volume 1, 2 now this weekend we received volume 1 revised.
wow and so many are excited about us killing so many trees to repeat the same thing over and over again.
i need to vent a bit and could easily get on to many issues of wtbts and its goober body.

yet, the wt claims that they are the true religion.
Where in the NT did Jesus ever use the name Jehovah/Yahweh? HE DIDN'T.
In fact his example of how to pray to God was..."This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name". (whats the name?)
I don't recall anywhere in the bible where Jesus said that people will identify them by using a name repetitively.
Where did Jesus even say that HIS Fathers name was Jehovah/Yahweh? He didn't.
talk to flipper this week and wish him and all those well who will be at the apostafest this weekend.

i was just thinking today at work about the whole ngo thing and got pretty deep in thought about it.
i remember reading about it and i remember reading on a pro jw site i think it was jehovah uk or something like that.
on the pro jw site they said that when the society signed and joined as an ngo there were no requirements to pledge that you will uphold the ideals of the un etc etc.
Lady Lee...are you kidding? THey used UN planes etc....??? OMG...looking forward to reading that thread..hope you find it...I'll have a look for it too.
